--version
              show version number and exit

       -h, --help
              show this help and exit

       -o, --output=FILE
              write output to FILE

       -s, --strict
              be strict about success

       -b, --beams
              preserve ABC's notion of beams

       -q, --quiet
              suppress progress messages
