Repo Analyzer MCP Server (Local)

An MCP server that analyzes Git repositories and provides Dockerfile creation guidance. Runs locally using stdio transport.

Installation

  1. Create and activate a virtual environment:
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate  # Linux/macOS
# or
.venv\Scripts\activate     # Windows
  1. Install dependencies:
pip install -e .

Usage

With MCP Inspector

mcp-inspector python src/repo_analyzer_mcp/server.py

With VS Code / GitHub Copilot

Add to VS Code settings (JSON) or create .vscode/mcp.json:
