Manual Installation

  1. Clone the Repository bash git clone https://github.com/MahithChigurupati/Confluence-MCP-Server.git cd Confluence-MCP-Server

  2. Set Up Virtual Environment (Recommended) bash python -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate # On macOS/Linux # or .\venv\Scripts\activate # On Windows

  3. Install Dependencies bash pip install -r requirements.txt

Configuration

  1. Create Environment File bash cp .env.example .env

  2. Configure Environment Variables plaintext CONFLUENCE_BASE_URL=https://your-instance.atlassian.net/wiki/rest/api USERNAME=your.email@company.com API_TOKEN=your-api-token-here

  3. Obtain Confluence API Token

  4. Visit Atlassian API Tokens
  5. Click "Create API Token"
  6. Enter a meaningful label (e.g., "MCP Server Access")
  7. Copy the generated token immediately (it won't be shown again)
